Abstrak

Pendahuluan: Kekurangan mikronutrien selama kehamilan masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang dapat meningkatkan risiko anemia pada ibu serta berbagai komplikasi kehamilan. Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) diberikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan vitamin dan mineral selama kehamilan, namun penggunaannya dapat menimbulkan beberapa efek samping.

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efek samping penggunaan Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Proppo Kabupaten Pamekasan.

Metode: Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 70 ibu hamil yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara menggunakan formulir Monitoring Efek Samping Obat (MESO), kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase.

Hasil: Sebanyak 38 responden (54,3%) tidak mengalami efek samping setelah mengonsumsi MMS. Efek samping yang paling banyak dilaporkan adalah mual (37%), diikuti pusing (26%), sembelit (19%), muntah (6%), dan perut kembung (6%). Sebagian besar efek samping muncul pada awal konsumsi MMS (24,3%) serta bersifat ringan dan sementara.

Kesimpulan: Penggunaan Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Proppo memiliki tingkat tolerabilitas yang baik karena sebagian besar responden tidak mengalami efek samping.
